The 2022 Barbaresco Loreto is a powerful wine. Macerated dark cherry, lavender, spice, menthol and pipe tobacco fill out the layers. This potent, broad-shouldered Barbaresco packs a pretty serious punch. Tannins are pretty imposing here, but the Loreto has enough mid-palate depth and overall resonance to balance things out.

The exceptional Loreto cru of Barbaresco is the source for this most profound wine of the De Forville estate. More full-bodied and dense than the Normale, the Loreto also has additional aging capacity.
