Lively and lush aromas of dense cassis, toasted graham cracker and fennel pollen converge on the nose of this bottling. Grippy, nearly sticky tannins wrap around the palate, where charred meat, espresso bean and purple fruit flavors arise.

The 2022 Pessimist is an easy-drinking blend of 59% Petite Sirah, 20% Zinfandel, 14% Syrah and 7% Lagrein matured for 10 months in 60% new French oak. The nose is loaded with ripe berry and baked plum fruit, plus nuances of cracked pepper and mortadella.
