The 2017 Barbaresco Riserva Rose dell Casasse is a rich, heady wine that is going to need a number of years to come into its own. Time in the glass releases gorgeous aromatics to play off a core or dark red/puplish fruit, spice and licorice notes. There's tons of depth and character, but this is an uncharacteristically reticent 2017. The aromatics alone are inviting.
